Why the outrage?

Why do we so often have to be so very angry to bring about change for the better?

To:
feed the hungry, end construction
Save the planet, stop destruction
Fight injustice, right all the wrongs
Let native people sing their songs

We:
must get others angry like us
create a scene, make a fuss
disturb the peace, disturb our peace
break many laws to make them cease

Why?
why can’t we nip them in the bud,
stop evil trickles before they flood,
Steer wrongdoers to better deeds,
all love Nature — the hand that feeds?

Why the outrage?
